Small Charities Coalition
Campaigning and influencing can be one of the most cost effective ways of achieving impact on the issues you work on, holding out the prospect of delivering sustainable change to the benefit of millions of people. It is a trustee’s duty to look at all means of achieving your charity’s purposes and this includes campaigning as well as service provision. A charity is not required to have a specific power in its objects to allow you to campaign and achieving campaign success can be simpler than you might think.
The guide covers everything you need to know about the Charity Commission’s guidelines on campaigning, other relevant legislation and guidance on how best to scrutinise campaigning building on extensive practice development and case studies of what constitutes effective campaigning and advocacy.
