LawWorks is an independent charity that aims to increase the delivery of free legal advice to individuals and communities in need. It does this by supporting, promoting and encouraging a commitment to pro bono legal advice across the legal profession
The LawWorks for Community Groups project acts as a broker between small charities, community groups and social enterprises and lawyers willing to provide their services for free. Groups can apply using the online application form (http://lawworks.org.uk/?id=lcg). The team at LawWorks will review the application and help to clarify the advice required. If the application is approved, they will then try and match the group with a volunteer lawyer who provides the legal advice for free.
LawWorks can help with business law issues such as: company law, employment, intellectual property, property law, charity, tax, contract and many more. They cannot deal with criminal, family or immigration matters.
