To be a trustee requires time, understanding and effort. It is also a rewarding opportunity to serve the community and develop personal skills. This booklet from the Charity Commission sets out a summary of the responsibilities and duties of a trustee, and also how trustees can get support and assistance from the Commission and from other organisations.
