New starters in the voluntary sector can now enrol for the 2008 NCVO Working For A Charity online course. The course, Effective Voluntary Sector Management, is aimed at people who have recently joined the voluntary sector or who are looking to make a career move into it. Volunteers and trustees can also benefit from this course.
The course covers seven units:
The online course is run by Working For A Charity, a project within NCVO and part of the UK Workforce Hub and is accredited by Roehampton University.
This unique, innovative course is designed to give workers who are new to the sector a head start. Voluntary and community organisations will be able to ensure their new starters understand the challenges and management issues they will face. An online course is perfect for people who are not able to devote time to attending a daytime course.
