Deadline for nominations for The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is given for outstanding achievement by groups of volunteers who:

• regularly devote their time to helping others in the community
• improve the quality of life and opportunity for others
• provide an outstanding service

The Award recognises the vital role played by the hundreds of thousands of 'unsung heroes' of the voluntary and community world and emphasises the importance of continuing recognition of their work. It covers groups operating in the united Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
