Network of Women Chairs (NWC)


This network for women chairs meets regularly throughout the year.

The purpose of NWC is to share experiences and learning through networking with fellow women chairs and vice chairs of trustees thereby improving charity governance.

Speaker: Baroness Cumberlege
Chair of several Parliamentary Groups. Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a Vice President of the Royal College of Nursing, a Senior Associate of the Kings Fund, a Trustee of Leeds Castle and Patron of the National Childbirth Trust. She has chaired the Council of St. George’s Medical School. She was a NED of Huntsworth plc for 3 years. She is chair of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC).

Wednesday 16 November 2011, Supper, (6.00 - -8.00pm)

Speaker: Harriet Lamb
Executive Director of Fairtrade Foundation. She is the author of ‘Fighting the Banana Wars’.

For breakfast meetings, members are encouraged to bring as their guest a female potential chief executive. For summer Receptions, members are encouraged to invite female leaders from any sector.
