We have some ancient Trusts whose Objects are impossible to carry out exactly as specified way back by the benefactors. We have with the Charity Comm's OK merged some of these where their Objects are similar. But now I need to find out how we could 'give away' a Trust to another one with similar Objects. For instance do we simply arrange for the other Trusts' Trustees to be named as our Trust's. Or must they subsume ours into theirs the same way as some of ours have been subsumed into others of ours (by 'ours' I mean the same set of Trustees.) Or can we donate our Endowment Funds to them then have our Trust absolved because penniless? Has anyone got experience in this, that they could share?
