We have never had letters of appointment for new trustees and I am now being asked to produce one. This is to go hand in hand with a code of conduct that we are also introducing (Again we have never had this). Is there a template for such a letter of appointment?
ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) produces sample letters to send to new trustees on appointment. They have two model letters - one for the appointment of a trustee to an unincorporated charity and one for appointment to a charitable company limited by guarantee.
