Press Training for Charities - London

Event runs between 09:00 and 17:00

The of Power of the Press has created a workshop with former BBC Senior Broadcast Journalist Jenni Regan. She will be revealing to charities what TV editors want and need when pitching stories. For the last 10 years, Jenni has worked on popular news-driven programmes including Watchdog, Working Lunch, BBC Breakfast, the BBC News Channel and BBC World.

If you are stuck or have always wondered how to approach broadcasters and don’t know where to turn, this workshop is perfect for you. Jenni will introduce you to the BBC and give you the golden rules of getting into TV and radio.

The sessions are limited to ten places to ensure there’s enough time to prepare for a mock “live” interview in front of the cameras.

The day-long workshop is divided into two. In session one, you’ll get the Power of the Press signature workshop to help boost your charity’s coverage in the local and national papers and in session two, Jenni takes over.
