Rollits "What trustees need to know" seminar covers three distinct areas and will be of particular interest to those interested in good governance.

Gerry Morrisons from Rollits Charities and Education Group will look at new charity law in particular the latest position on the Charities Act 2006 and the impact of the public benefit test.

Health and Safety specialist Chris Platts from Rollits Regulatory Group will examine health and safety issues for charities in practice in relation to volunteers, visitors, services users and employees, fundraising events and trustees duties and responsibilities.

The special guest at the seminar will be Mark Sharpley, Partner at Smailes Goldie who will look at current issues affecting charities such as changes to the Accounting, reporting and scutiny frame work, future possible changes to the Audit thresholds and current SORP 2005 application issues regarding report and trustees policies.
